Thailand - West to East

A lovely reflection on the floor of the Wat Nanachat sala. Meditating outside Ajahn Chah's stupa. Monks meditating under Ajahn Chah's kuti while listening to a dhamma talk. Ajahn Chah's stupa. After dana at Wat Chiang Ei in Si Sa Ket on the last day of my walk. An elephant without a tail. Resting after pinapat to have lunch next to a delightful pond. Taking a break at the outskirts of town. Forty kilometres to go. After a day of walking, I find a small forest to set up camp. Down a small side road, I find a shady shelter to have lunch. A commercial bamboo plantation. It's the dry season, and the fields are quite barren. The monastery was having a festival so pindapat food was plentiful. Time out for a little horizontal meditation. It was Thai national children's day, and this small group made food offerings. Rubber plantations were quite common in the area A local fisherman setting his net A very spacious bamboo grove to camp in I camped in the forest to the left with a view across the fields. Cambodia is on the other side of this mountain range. The table in the shade seemed an excellent place to stop for lunch. A palm tree grove offers shade and shelter off the road.
